The Duval County Public Schools Nutrition Program and Chartwells K12 kicked off the New Year with a focus on student engagement. Below are some of the highlights from the last month.

Lucky Lunch Day

On January 11, elementary students across the district participated in our Lucky Lunch Day celebration. Students were encouraged to look under their school lunch tray to see if they had the winning sticker on the bottom. Over 400 winners found a sticker on their tray and each received a pop-it bracelet. Four very lucky winners received the grand prize of a new bike or scooter.

Winter Menu

As we entered winter, our menus transitioned to heartier comfort foods to reflect the colder weather. Seasonal menus allow us to enhance our offerings every few months to keep meals fresh and fun by offering bold new flavors. Some new lunch entrees include:

• American Beef Goulash
• Chicken Alfredo Bake
• 3 Cheese Cavatappi
• Tuna Melt
• Hot Honey Chicken Pancake Sandwich
